Slips and trips are the most common cause of injury at work. According to statistics, on average they cause 40 per cent of all reported major injuries. Slips and trips are also the most reported injury to members of the public authorities. This module describes measures that employers may need to implement to prevent such occurrences.
MODULE OBJECTIVES
After completing this module, participants will:
- be more aware of the common causes of trip, slip and fall; and their consequences
- know how to eliminate risks
- know the collective measures to be taken (barriers, signals). Pay special attention to the most common causes of trips, slips and falls on stairs and the preventive measures required
