HR Policies: What to Consider

This workshop is about designing human resources related procedures that are consistent with the organisation’s strategies.

It was developed from the Level 3 Human Resources Management National Vocational Qualification (NVQ); which means that once completed, you may opt to be assessed where you would prove how well you can design human resources procedures such as Training and Development, in order to gain unit certification in this area. Please note that this assessment comes at an additional cost.

Chavonne Cummins is a Labour Management Advisor at the Barbados Employers’ Confederation, providing advice and guidance on human resource and labour/industrial relations issues.

Prior to assuming her role at the Confederation, Chavonne successfully undertook the Human Resource Management Level 3 NVQ with BEC; one of her many accomplishments in the field of Human Resources.

She believes that effective and efficient human resource practices and procedures, coupled with exceptional customer service both internally and externally within an organization, will lead to the achievement of organizational success.

When does the workshop start and finish?
The course starts Tuesday March 17th, 2020 and will be available until Thursday March 19th. You will have approximately 48 hours to access the content from the time of open enrollment - across any and all devices you own!
How long will this workshop take?
While this digital workshop is estimated to take 8 hours to complete, it is completely self-paced.
What is Unit Certification?
Unit Certification is available on workshops which reflect a unit from a National or Caribbean Vocational Qualification (N/CVQ) Programme. BEC offers a number of these programmes, including Human Resources Management NVQ Level 3, and Occupational Safety and Health CVQ Level 2, on this online platform. After completing a workshop with the option of Unit Certification, participants can prove to an Assessor through evaluation, that they are competent in performing tasks in the studied area.
